the dentist's office.....

ok, so i met my eldest at the dentist, who had an appointment right before my youngest.....and as i was waiting on them both, the mother of a ginger-haired high school senior who attends our church and used to run cc with my middle child was leaving......and she gushed asking for news of the middle child...and mentioned that she and her youngest were going college-hunting over fall break.....and that the child in question was upset that they would not be going to duke because it wa so far away....6 hours...but they would be going to uk and transy and berea, and maybe marshall......and then she was gone.....and in came a hs junior....the fluffy-haired person most likely to mourn the loss of mr.k. from the quick recall team....her and her dad......there for a dental visit.....and she gushed about how they would be touring uk and transy and centre and berea.......and maybe marshall...but not swanee because it was so far away......marshall?......wtf?......when i mentioned that uk's honors program was worthy, especially with a gsp summer, she was all ears......seems a family member is trying to steer her towards brown, but it is too big and too far away......her dad said that he and her mother prefer she go to centre....and she replied that she will go where-ever god wills her to go......okay.......for the record, she wants to major in english, and expects that she will teach, because it is to hard to make a living with writing, but she doesn't see herself as a teacher because she doesn't see herself controlling a class.......but i digress from the dental visit......nobody had any cavities......
