wedding bells.....

ok, so my 50-year old cousin ( he is 3 weeks younger than me, for gosh sakes...)is getting married again the weekend after next......not to the mother of his first child......they have been divorced oh these 30 years.....and not to the mother of his kindergardener......nope, he went for door #3.......and i find great amusement in these dealings......considering he lives at the top of the hill from his ultra-conservative older sister, who had her first marriage anulled so she could get re-married to her ultraconservative second husband in the catholic church......assuming that god wasn't there when she married him the first time as a presbyterian......i suppose that they have figured out a way that everybody involved in the weekend nuptuals can become catholic.......and the insinuation was palpable when my mother called to convey the news that he and his spouse to be are expecting baby #3.....and this is where all logic goes out the window....he is 50....he'll be a father at 51......not very good odds for kin whose own papa was gone before he turned 55.....for all i kno his first child is already a mamma, and his 3rd child will be the aunt/uncle of his grandchild.....wow......only in america........or mid-ohio......or in these parts, except that it is not my cousin if it is around here.......omg........
