alternative hair charities......

ok, so i was looking up online just how much hair i had to grow before i could mail it off to the people who make wigs for kids with cancer.......when i discovered sites that question the ethics of this claim......in that the locks of love folks routinely sell off hair donations to keep themselves afloat...and that out of 104,000 hair donations in the past 6 or so years...only 1000 actual wigs have been made....and that these wigs tend to go to kids with allopecia rather than cancer.........i am not going to to the trouble to grow this hair for the locks of love outfit to turn around and sell my hair to the retail wig trade.......omg........i did find a group working out of rocky river, ohio that promises to use hair donations for children's wigs......and though this may not be true....it seems a better bet than the oprah-publicized hairing-selling group.........
