cargo capris......

ok, so yesterday's tour de france coverage was made more interesting by the numerous crowd scenes....on uphills, on downhills.....on straightaways in and out of towns.......not that there aren't people on the road on all stages....but yesterday's male spectators seemed to prefer cargo capri pants.......i found this phenomenom most amusing, given our former exchange student, henceforth known as b.b. (for belgian boy).....was wearing these doubtful pants 3 or so years ago......was b.b. ahead of the curve....or has fashion in that neck of the world's woods embraced men's pedal pushers......aka clamdiggers, ankle-pants......i am sure that there are more ways to describe them......somewhere between pants and shorts.......on a toddler i might not be as surprised and i am to behold a grown man wearing such a get-up......ah well............soon the race will be back to france.....and hopefully back to couture as we know it........
