rain equals rest.......

ok, so......i was downright giddy this afternoon...as the rain moved through....and the chance for me to do more brickwork after....well.....work.......faded in the drizzle.......working the the yard in the rain means working in the mud.....and i draw the line somewhere before that state of soil........not that i allowed any real rest.....i walked my daily ration on the treadmill......but the forced inactivity was like a beach vacation for my hands......hands and wrists take the brunt with moving bricks, pulling weeds, and repositioning bricks......on this particular day i can honestly report that my hands felt worse than my back.......i did take the opportunity to take a stroll around the walk...on both new and old sections....just to see how the new mortar held up to the storms......and the cat walked with me......announced by her new bell........we borke down and bought her a collar with a bell the same day she lift a partially consumed bird on the porch.....it is not fair to attract birdlife with 2 feeders....only to allow our cat to lay in wait for the least fit........
