refused care.....

ok, so i should have gone to bed while i had the chance......now that i am taking some leisure (non-brickwork) moments to read...i am reading things that shake me to the core......this article, from the nytimes....about how women have been denied services because the practitioner disagreed with her decision.....we are not just talking abortion here....we are talking morning after pills to the date-raped....and physicals required for single women to adopt........the worst scenario happened to a woman who had partially miscarried a damaged fetus...and the pharmacist went on the intercom in the drugstore to say that he would not participate in an abortion......i am having chills thinking back to my ectopic pregnancy.....and the notion that some surgeon could have refused to remove the collection of cells from my tube before it burst....on the grounds that it was human life.......without considering that when the tube burst i would have bled to death before anybody figured out what was wrong.......sadly, these folks consider themselves christians.......and have the twisted impression that treating their fellows thus will get them into heaven........i believe the indians put it best.....do not judge another until you have walked a mile in her moccasins........
