mean mamma on the porch....

ok, so.......i am waiting patiently on the porch.....coffee in hand...for my loved ones to return from lowes with a few more bags of mortar mix......i have swept the better part of 6 bags between bricks so far this morning.....about 2 bags shy of finishing the section in question.....the remaining mortar is spread evenly on my hair, my clothing, and my flipflops.....hence my wait on the porch.....no use cleaning up until i reach closure.......the break has brought pleasant respite....a few moments admiring the hummingbird on the feeder.....a pair of pileated woodpeckers feasting on the hackberry.......the dog asleep with his head right up against my right foot.......glorious moments one misses when one waits in air-conditioned isolation from nature........
